Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act.
The University has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by Standardization, Testing and Quality Certification Directorate, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India, for a period of three years. It has been accredited "A Grade" by NAAC during Feb - March 2007. It is an affiliating and teaching University that aims to facilitate and promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education in the disciplines of engineering, technology, architecture, management, medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, education, law, journalism and mass communication, etc. and also to achieve excellence in these and related fields and other matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
It awards various degrees like: B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc. (Environment Management), M.Sc.(Forensic Science), M.Sc.(Ciminology), B.Arch., BCA, BBA, MBA, BMC, B.Sc.(MLT), B.Sc.(Hons) Nursing, BJ(MC), BASLP, BRT, B.Pharma, BPT, MPT, BHMCT, B.Ed., LLB, LLM, MAHM, MCPHM, MHRPD, BHMS, MBBS and Ph.D etc. The admission to these programmes is done yearly through Common Entrance Test.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM
Through this Brochure, the University invites applications fromeligible candidates for admissions to the MBA mentioned in thebeginning of this Admission Brochure. The admission to the MBAprogramme will be made strictly on the basis of inter-se-merit of thequalified candidates in the Common Entrance Tests 2013 (CET Code101) and Personnel Interview (PI) being conducted by the University
Sale of Admission Brochure
The price of this Admission Brochure along with Application Form isRs.1000/- (One Thousand Only). The cost of Admission Brochure isnon-refundable. No other fee is required to be submitted along with theApplication Form.
a) The Admission Brochure along with Application Form will be on salefrom 2nd December, 2011 to till 12th February, 2013 on all workingdays during normal Banking hours from the following branches ofIndian Bank :
b) Sale by Post: Admission Brochure along with Application Form canalso be obtained through registered/speed post. A request in thisregard should be sent to the Joint Registrar (Academic) , Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector 16 C,Dwarka, New Delhi-110075 alongwith the following :
An application on plain paper, addressed to the Joint Registrar(Academic) requesting to issue Admission Brochure-I (MBA). Theapplication should clearly mention the name and the address of theapplicant;
A Demand Draft of Rs.1100/- (Rupees One Thousand One Hundred only)drawn in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh IndraprasthaUniversity, payable at Delhi. The name, address and phone numberof the applicant should be clearly mentioned on the back side of theDemand Draft/Pay Order ;
A self-addressed envelope of size not less than 24cms x 30cms.
Notes :
i) The request must reach the University Office latest by 31stJanuary, 2013. The amount once remitted will not be refundedunder any circumstances ;
ii) The envelope of the application requesting for the issuance ofAdmission Brochure-I must be super scribed at the left-top corner as"REQUEST FOR
ADMISSION BROCHURE-I (MBA) FOR THE SESSION 2013-14" ;
iii) The University will not be responsible for the delay, loss ordamage, if any, (during the transit) of the Application/Demand Draft/Pay Order for issuance of Admission Brochure and for the AdmissionBrochure after its dispatch from the University.

The applicants are advised to retain a photocopy of the dulyfilled-in Application Form before the same is submitted to theUniversity.
Submission by Head/Post
The Application Form complete in all respects in the sealed printedenvelope given along with Admission Brochure, should be submitted byhand at the University counter or it may be sent by Registered/SpeedPost to the Controller of Examinations, Administrative Block, GuruGobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sec 16 C, Dwarka, NewDelhi-110075 latest by 12th February, 2013 , at 5.00 p.m.
(i) After the last date is over, application form sent throughRegistered /Speed Post or by any other means will not be accepted,irrespective of the fact when the form was despatched/posted.Therefore, candidates are advised to submit their applications at theearliest, instead of waiting for the last date.
One application form is valid for only for one CET Code. For applyingin more than one CET Code, the applicant should purchase separateAdmission Brochure and apply separately.
Display of Information on the University's Website regardingreceipt of Applicat ion Forms for all Common Entrance Tests - 2013
On 24th February, 2013 at 5.00 p.m. the details of applicationforms received by the Office of the Controller of Examinations upto thelast date i.e. 20th February, 2012 will be displayed on the University Website (www.ipu.ac.in). The candidates are advised to checktheir status with the help of Application Form number indicated on theApplication Form.
In case any candidate, who has submitted the application form eitherby post or in-person, does not find his/her application form number onthe University's Website, then he/she is advised to contact the Officeof Controller of Examinations, Guru Gobind Singh IndraprasthaUniversity, Delhi, immediately (but not later than 28th February,2012) alongwith the relevant particulars (photocopy of the dulyfilled-in CET Application Form and proof of its delivery to theUniversity). In case of any query, candidate may contact on011-25302287
No document (copies of certificates, mark-sheets etc.) is required to be attached with the Application Form.
Write the complete address by giving your name and PIN CODE carefullyand legibly. Please note that this address will be used by theUniversity for all the cor respondence in future.Therefore, it should be very clearly written with black ball pointpen only. The address should be properly filled up in the prescribedboxes and should not overflow. The University will not be responsiblefor any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the applicant in the CET Application Form. No request for change of address will be entertained till the admission is finalized.
For the convenience to the applicants as well as theirparents/guardians, the University is also providing the facility ofOn-Line Submission of Application Form for CET-2012. The applicationform along with the Common Entrance Test Fee of Rs. 1,000/- and Rs.100/- as postage and handling can be submitted through the InternetLink to be notified on the University website (http://www.ipu.ac.in) onand from 15th December, 2011. The last date for online formsubmission is same as that for offline application form submission.


The test paper will contain 150 objective-type questions in all.Each question will be provided with four alternative answers marked as(1), (2), (3) and (4). Out of these, only one correct or most appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answersheet;
(ii) Each question shall carry four marks;
(iii) There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer;
(iv) The Written Test will be of two and a half hours duration and will carry 600 marks;
(v) The medium of the tests will be English only
(vi) Candidates should bring a black ball point pen to theExamination Hall for writing/marking responses (darkening the ovals) onOMR answer sheet. Use of pencil is not allowed;
(vii) No requests for re-checking, re-evaluation, reassessment or scrutiny of OMR answer sheet will be entertained;
(viii) For those who are unable to appear in the test on thescheduled date & Time for any reason, retest will not be held bythe University under any circumstances. No refund of fee is permissible
