KLE Society was established more than 90 years ago in the year 1916 by seven dedicated Teachers (aptly called as Saptarishis) and three Patrons, which has transformed the educational backward region of Northern Karnataka into a fertile land of education. Presently, KLE Society is successfully running more than 205 institutions in the field of Health care (Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Ayurved, Physiotherapy, Nursing Science), Information Technology, Law and many more conventional and non-conventional disciplines.
The KLE University was established on 13th April, 2006 as per the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Notification No.F.9-19/2000-U-R(A) dated 13th April, 2006, under the recommendation of University Grants Commission.
The University shall be conducting KLE University All India Entrance Test - 2013 ( KLEU - AIET - 2013 ) for admission to various Under-Graduate Courses viz. MBBS, BDS, BPT, BAMS., B.Sc. Nursing, Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing & B.Pharm. and Post-Graduate Courses viz, MPT, MD Ayurveda, M.Sc. Nursing & M.Pharm, in the respective constituent units of the University viz, J.N. Medical College, V.K. Institute of Dental Sciences, Institute of Physiotherapy, Sri. B.M.K. Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belgaum, and Colleges of Pharmacy at Belgaum, Hubli and Bangalore for the academic year 2013-14.
Common Eligibility Requirements for admission to MBBS/BDS: Only those candidates who would satisfy or are likely to satisfy the relevant eligibility requirements for admission to a course will be considered eligible to appear for the KLEU All India Entrance Test (KLEU- AIET â€“ 2013) & subsequently for admission to that course. Age: The candidate shall complete 17 years of age on or before the 31st December 2013. Qualifications: For MBBS: As prescribed by the Medical Council of India. For BDS: As prescribed by the Dental Council of India. Note: For candidates seeking admission to MBBS course, the candidate should have scored minimum 60% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. i.e. XIIth /PUC II/ 10+2/ HSC / equivalent examination. The candidate should also have scored 50% marks in English language in the qualifying exam. Candidates who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e., PUC II/10+2/HSC or equivalent but whose results have not been declared will also be considered eligible to appear for KLEU-AIET-2013, provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said examination. The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination (XIIth / PUC-II / 10+2/ HSC / B.Sc.- Degree / first year of three year degree course as specified by Medical Council of India to be considered as eligibility for appearing in entrance test) earlier than 2011 are not eligible for applying to KLEU-AIET-2013 for seeking admission to MBBS course.
DD for Rs. 2,000/- payable at Belgaum drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Registrar KLE University, Belgaum.
