Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test (MP PEPT)

Information

Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (PEPT) is for admission to Bachelor in Engineering (B.E.) course in various technical institutes in Madhya Pradesh. Every year many students across Madhya Pradesh appear for Madhya Pradesh PEPT to get admission in the best engineering institutes in the state. The exam is conducted in various centers in order to provide comfort to the students. The students have to be more conscious about this exam and need to work harder to get admission in the reputed institutes of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test is an examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board for pursuing various engineering courses. 90% seats in the Government/Aided colleges are reserved for Madhya Pradesh candidates, 5% for Outside MP candidates and 5% for NRIs. For Private Self-financing institutes 75% of seats are reserved for MP candidates, 20% seats for Outside candidates and 5% seats for NRI candidates. Eligibility criteria: A candidate should pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2013 can also apply for this exam. Also a candidate should not be more than 21 years (24 years for SC/ST) on 1st October, 2012. Those students who are applying for Madhya Pradesh seats should have a Madhya Pradesh domicile for which a candidate should have at least been educated for 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years in an institution in Madhya Pradesh.

Application Procedure

  • The Candidate must fill the Online MP PEPT 2013 Exam Application form available at the www.vyapam.nic.in or www.mponline.gov.in
  • The Candidate must read all the instructions about filling the online application form before filling it. The cost of Form is Rs. 500/- for General Category Candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST Candidates.
  • The Candidate can pay the required amount online through any Credit or Debit Card and also through Net Banking.

Test Pattern
In Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering & Pharmacy Test 2013 exam syllabus, Physics and Chemistry subjects will carry 50 marks each, which is compulsory for all the applicants. Mathematics and Biotechnology will be for 100 marks each as an optional subject.

Chemical periodicity s.p.d and f-block elements, periodic table: periodicity: atomic and ionic radii valency, ionization energy, electron affinity electro negativity, metallic character.

ORGANIC CHEMISTRY:
Calculations of empirical and molecular formula of organic compounds, nomenclature of organic compounds, common functional groups isomerism structure and shapes of alkanes, alkanes and benzene.
Preparation properties and uses of alkynes, alkynes, benzene petroleum, cracking octane number, gasoline additives. Nomenclature, physical chemical properties, correlation of physical properties with structure properties and uses of heloalkanes, halobenzenes, alcohols and phenols: general ideas of some polyhalogen compounds viz dicholorothanes dichloroethers, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride D.D.T benzene hexachloride.
Nomenclature, methods of preparation, chemical properties correlations of physical properties with structures and uses of elhers aldehydes, ketones, corboxylic acids and their derivatives, brief account of the chemistry of cyanides isocyanides, amines and nitro compounds.
Polymers: classification: preparation and uses of common natural and synthetic polymers.

3. MATHEMATICS
ALGEBRA:
Algebra of Complex numbers, Graphical representation of complex numbers modules, and argument of complex numbers, conjugated of a complex number, triangle inequality, cube roots of unity, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progression. Arithmetic, geometric and harmonic means between two numbers.Sum of squares and cubes of first natural numbers.Theory, geometric equation, relations between roots and coefficients. Quadratic expressions, quadratic equations in one variable, permutations and combinations. Bionomial (any index) theorem exponential and logarithmic series, determinants up to third order and their order and their elementary properties matrices types of matrices, adjoint and inverse of matrix, elementary, applications is solving simultaneous equation upto three variables.
TRIGONOMETRY:
Trigonometry functions and their graphs, addition and subtraction formulae; formulae involving multiple and submultiple angles, general solutions of trigonometrical equations, relation between sides and angles of a traingle. Solution of traingles, inverse: trignometrical functions, height and distance(simple problems).
CO-ORDINATE GEOMETRY OF TWO DIMENSIONS:
Rectangular cartesian coordinates, straight line, pair to straight lines, distance of a point from a line, angle between two lines. Circle, tangents and normals, system of circles. Conic section, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola in standard forms with elementary properties, tangents and normals.
CO-ORDINATE GEOMETRY OF THREE DIMENSIONS:
Rectangular co ordinate system, direction cosines and direction ratios, equation of place in standard forms.Perpendicular distance from a point, equation of a line angles between two lines.
VECTOR ALGEBRA:
Definition of vector, addition of vector, components in three dimensional space, scalar and vector products. triple products, simple applications in geometry and mechanics.
DIFFERENTIAL CALCULUS:
Function, polynomial, rational trignometric, logarithmic and exponential, inverse functions. Limit continuity and differentiability of functions, differentiation of rational, trigonometric and exponential functions. Application of derivative in elementary problem in mecharics, increasing and decreasing functions. Maxima and Minima of function of one variable, Roll's theorem and mean value theorem.
INTEGTRAL CALCULUS:
Integration as the inverse process of differentation, integration by parts. By substitution and by partial fraction definite integral. Areas under simple curves.
DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS:
Formulation of differential equation, ordered degree solution of differential equations by separation of variable method. Homogeneous form linear differential equation of first order.
STATISTICS:
Probability addition and multiplication laws, conditional probability, Binomial distribution, simple problems in correlation and regression.
NUMERICAL METHODS:
Solution of euation by the methods of bisection, false position and Newton
Raphson. Numerical integration by trapezoided and Simpson's rule.
LINEAR PROGRAMMING:
Definition and formation of linear programming problems, solution by graphical method.
