Information

In order to meet the growing demand for management education, the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal, with the help of a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust, established a recognized Management institute of the Mumbai University in 1981.
Since then NMIMS has grown into a flourishing University, offering courses / programs across various disciplines, such as Management, Technology, Science, Pharmacy, Architecture and Commerce.
Today, NMIMS is one of the fastest growing and the top, private University in the country.
NMAT-T is a National Level Aptitude Test conducted by NMIMS for the Admission to B.Tech/MBA Tech courses running in the Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering and School of Pharmacy & Technology Management.
NMAT-12 will held on 13May, 2012.

Important dates and Eligibility

Eligibility

B.Tech. & MBA. (Tech)
Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent exam including international IB Diploma (IB certificate awarded is not eligible)
&
With science or science vocational
&
Minimum 50% marks in PCM for Mumbai campus & 45% marks in PCM for Shirpur campus.
&
Those awaiting their 10+2 exam result this year may also apply.
Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam by doing a part-time course or through distance learning/correspondence/externally/open school are not eligible to apply for the courses.
Candidates should present single marksheet .Candidates passed with compartment is not eligible.
Note (for IB & Cambridge Candidate): Candidates called for admission counseling on the basis of NMAT (UG) merit list & who do not have final marksheet will be given “Provisional Admission”. Fees will be accepted from such candidate but their admission will be confirmed on submission of final marksheet if found eligible before the commencement of the program
MBA (Pharma. Tech.) Integrated (B.Pharma+MBA)
1. The candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent exam including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB certificate awarded not eligible)
2. Science or science vocational with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)
3. English as compulsory subject
4. Minimum 50% marks in (PCM/PCB).
5. Those awaiting their 10+2 exam result this year may also apply

Candidates appearing for their final 10+2 or equivalent examination can also apply provided they should obtaining the required minimum cut off marks and also producing all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.
Those candidates who have passed, or, are appearing for 10+2 examination from a Board/University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board/University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA obtained.
It is sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess necessary and requisite qualification for the admission to the courses at NMIMS.
NMIMS reserves the right to alter the terms of eligibility without intimation to the applicants.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment

Online registration
Registration Online through link provided at right side & Pay registration fee of Rs 1600/- (Non refundable) by Credit Card, Cash at Axis Bank & by Demand Draft. (Please refer online registration for payment details.)
Online Test: All eligible candidates who are registered successfully will be called for the online test.
Call Letter/ Admit Card
On the basis of information indicted in the Application Form, your call letter/ admit card for the Admission Test & the venue (School/College) at each centre will be communicated to the candidate as per important dates through the website.

You are required to download the call letter/admit card from our website www.nmims.edu
No candidate, without call letter/admit card or without the photograph on the call letter/admit card will be permitted to appear for the test.
No separate call letter will be mailed/posted.
Candidate must carry requisite ID proof while appearing for NMAT (UG) 2013.
Selection Process
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate NMAT (UG) 2013:
Candidates will be called for counseling session at Mumbai based on the merit list.
In the counseling session candidates will be given admission to various disciplines as per their merit, choice and availability of discipline as per eligibility criteria.
The decision of the institute will be final in this regard and no inquiries or correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her in the application form is incorrect, his/her admission to the course, even if selected, will stand cancelled. Such candidates appearing for the NMAT (T) will do so on their own risk.
Canvassing in any form for admission will disqualify the candidate.
Regular classes will commence from the date given in the important dates.
All matters of dispute will be subject to the legal jurisdiction of Mumbai only.

TEST SCHEME
Structure of the Test –NMAT (UG) 2013
The NMAT (UG) 2013 for would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type of questions).
The NMAT (UG) 2013 will comprise of 3 major parts as follows:

3. Reasoning & General Intelligence 40  
For each Question for which a wrong answer is marked, 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted as penalty.

The NMAT (UG) 2013 for MBA (Pharma. Tech.) Programmes would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type of questions).
The NMAT (UG) 2013 will comprise of 3 major parts as follows:

REFUND RULES
The Schedule of refund of fees will be as follows:

1. Till the date of commencement
of the Programme.
Rs.1000/- will be deducted as administrative charges
2. After the commencement of Programme but before the close of the admission. Rs.1000 + Proportionate fees i.e. one tenth of the fees for every completed month or part thereof, if the seat vacated by the candidate is filled. If the seat remains vacant /unfilled no fees will be refunded.
3. Cancellation after the official Closure of admission. Cancellation made after the official closing of
admission no fees will be refunded.
