Information

The NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI established in 2008 by Act No. 1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in the capital city of India. The University invites applications for admission to B.A.,LL.B.(Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes for the academic year 2015-16 commencing from August, 2015.

Important dates and Eligibility

Eligibility

FIVE-YEAR B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)
Eligibility: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% of marks. The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2015 can also apply.
Age: Below 21 years as on 1 July, 2015 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
Total Seats: 80 [70 seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
Reservation: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
Note:One additional seat for Kashmiri Migrants. The candidates have to appear in the AILET and fulfill the eligibility criteria as applicable.
LL.M.
Eligibility:
LL.B. or an Equivalent Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). The candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2015 can also apply.
Total Seats: 20 + 5 seats for Foreign Nationals. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET.
Reservation: 15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
Ph.D.
Eligibility:
LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). For detailed eligibility conditions visit University website www.nludelhi.ac.in

Application Fee and Mode of Payment

Interested candidates may apply along with a Demand Draft of Rs.3000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only) for General Candidates, Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PD) drawn in favour of "REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI", payable at Delhi along with copies of requisite Caste/PD Certificate. Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST category are exempted from application fee. The students can also apply online for admission through : http://nludelhi.admissionhelp.com, http://www.nludelhi.ac.in up to April 7, 2015. Offline Applications complete in all respects must be sent in Person or by Post, to the REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI, Sector - 14, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110078, on or before April 7, 2015. Applications received after the last date shall not be entertained. The University will not be responsible for any postal/courier delay.

Timing of AILET : 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm on May 03, 2015.
Note:

(i) The candidate shall secure minimum of 40% (30% for SC and ST candidates) of the total marks in the AILET to become eligible for the admission. The University reserves the right to keep the seats vacant if there are no candidates who secured minimum cut off marks.
(ii) If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks in the AILET, their merit will be determined in the following manner and order; (1) On the basis of Percentage of marks in the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) / Higher Secondary School or its equivalent recognized by the University (2) On the basis of Percentage of marks in the X standard (3) Elder in age will be preferred (4) Draw of Lots.
(iii) At least 30% of the total seats shall be filled by eligible horizontal reservation for women candidates including those selected in reserved and foreign national categories.

LL.M. Degree Prgoramme
The admission shall be through a written test to be conducted by the University followed by Interview.
Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can appear for the Entrance Test subject to a condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed percentage of marks at the time of interview.
The total number of seats will be 20 with the following reservations:

General 75%
Scheduled Caste 15%
Scheduled Tribe 7.5 %
Persons with Disability 2.5%

Admission for Foreign Nationals: 5 seats are allotted to Foreign National candidates possessing the Citizenship of a country other than India will only be considered under this category. The Foreign Nationals are exempted from taking the Admission Test.
The vacant seats under Foreign National Category shall be filled from the General Category candidates in order of merit.

Test Centers

Admission to B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes will be through AILET to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna on May 3, 2015(Sunday).
